“Ryan is a very well rounded player and teacher who can find creative ways to teach the guitar without it feeling overwhelming. He is as committed to your journey as you are. I can’t say enough about how much I like going to classes and how I feel accomplished in what I’ve learned up to this point.”

Anthony M

“Ryan is a great instructor, he is able to break things down into manageable goals. Piece by piece I am becoming a better musician. I am very happy with my decision to join Twin Cities School of Guitar!

“My skills have hugely improved since starting classes here!! My teacher Ryan is really good at meeting his students wherever they are starting. I had been playing for years before starting classes, and am so happy to finally be improving again instead of just plateauing!

“To me, taking lessons at Twin Cities School of Guitar is very helpful in learning to play guitar and also improving skills you already have. It’s a great way to learn or improve on chords, power chords, strumming patterns, songs, scales, licks and different guitar styles like blues or heavy metal or pop and also how to write a song. I take lessons and so do my kids so it’s appropriate for all ages and skill levels. It’s quite fun.”

Twin Cities School of Guitar is exceptional! I have struggled learning guitar for years and finally picked it up thanks to Ryan. Twin Cities School of Guitar creates an excellent learning environment for students.”

“Stop trying to learn on-line without a real person teaching you. You will be so far ahead with a real person teaching you. Ryan is great! I can't express how much better and how quickly I've improved by taking lessons here. Worth every penny.

Chris B

“I thought that the lessons offered were a great way to both practice as well as get feedback from the teacher and other students. The environment for learning is very comfortable both as a brand new student as well as after a year of lessons.

If you've spent any part of your life fighting off that nagging feeling that you should’ve been better at guitar by now… you should do yourself a favor and at least meet with Ryan Popovic. If you would like to avoid the years of wasted time and regret you might experience building up to the situation I just described and would rather feel accomplished and confident with the instrument much earlier in your journey, you should do yourself a favor and at least meet with Ryan Popovic.

I’ve played guitar (if you can call it that) and been 99.9% self-taught (if you can call it that) for decades, and I have had more fun and learned more about my playing and instruments in the past few months than all the decades that preceded it combined.

Whatever fears have you still sitting on the fence about committing to lessons, I feel extremely confident in saying they will quickly melt away if you can just bring yourself to START! It’s so much fun!

I wish I had done this literally decades ago. I’m exceedingly grateful to have had the right teacher appear when this particular student was ready. I can’t recommend Ryan highly enough.

“Since joining Twin Cities School of Guitar, I have been very pleased with the progression of my guitar playing skills. Ryan is a great instructor with a very encouraging, positive and fun teaching style. If you really want to improve your guitar playing, I would recommend Ryan and Twin Cities School of Guitar.”

When I first started playing guitar, I was pretty distraught after only a short amount of time, because I realized I didn't know where to begin! I started browsing my options and stumbled upon an advertisement of Ryan's in our home mailbox. Long story short, I tested the lessons out and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I've so far gathered a collection of skills in only a few months, while overcoming many weaknesses of mine, too! Ryan is very patient with his students, challenging you just enough to help you grow. I encourage anyone who is considering taking lessons to do it! Friendly people, highly enjoyable as well!!

“Great experience at Twin Cities School of Guitar. The patience and professionalism have kept me from doubting myself. The times I’ve gotten stuck or frustrated, Ryan offered another angle to play the part. I’d recommend to anyone interested in learning the guitar!
